It has been one year since the photo scandal of the Hong Kong celebrities broke out. News has it that "male lead" of the scandal, Edison Chen, is making his comeback to the entertainment business. He announced his withdrawal from the Hong Kong showbiz last year after intimate and private photographs of him and several actresses were distributed over the Internet.

Recently, five of Chen's new photos were seen on the website of his fashion brand, CLOT Inc. This act raised speculations on his attempt to make a comeback, even though Chen has been a model of his own fashion brand for the past three years.

Chen, who founded CLOT Inc in 2003, has always been heavily involved in the designing and choosing of materials for his brand's apparel. His company has also collaborated with many international brands which produce jeans, shoes and toys, and helped in the creative direction of various international brands.

2008 had been a tough year for Chen and the actresses involved in the scandal, especially for Gillian Chung, one-half of pop girl group Twins. Since news of Chung's comeback broke out, Chen's movement has been watched closely too. According to Hong Kong media reports, he has been waiting for an opportunity to rebuild his career in Hong Kong.

However Peter Lam, Head of Media Asia Group, expressed that public's opinion and reception is crucial when considering Chen's comeback.
