We booked our tour through New Star Travel at the NATAS Travel Fair on 23 August 2026, after hours and hours of discussion. 😂
How much does it cost?
SGD 999 per person (Tour Package)
SGD 189 (Airport Tax)
SGD 124 (RMB 600 compulsory tour fee – originally supposed to be SGD 116, but it increased by $8 due to foreign currency exchange rate differences)
Total: SGD 1,312 per person
As for me, I'll be sharing a room with my parents (no choice! 😂). However, there's an additional room charge of SGD 60 for one night.
I believe this is for our stay at Ocean Flower Island Castle Hotel. They will provide an additional room, meaning three of us will have two rooms in total, as there are no extra beds available (if I'm not mistaken).
For the other hotels, they will provide extra beds where necessary.
Anyway, we can also redeem a free luggage bag if we spend a minimum of SGD 2,500, depending on which bank card we use for payment.
My sis helped me pay using her Citibank card so I could get the 20-inch New Yorker luggage, as most of the luggage from the other banks had already been fully redeemed.
Driver & Guide Tips
We will pay the driver and tour guide's tips in RMB on the day itself.
RMB 30 × 8 days = RMB 240
Approximately SGD 46 per person
Note: You can pay the tips in either RMB or SGD on the day itself.
Another thing is that this tour is specially arranged for our group, as we have at least 10 people. This means we get to enjoy a private group tour without having to join other travellers.
