Itinerary for the third day:

- Taichung
- Xitou Monster Village
- Rainbow Village
- Love and Peace Cafe
- Feng Jia Night Market


Yes one day trip to Taichung and back on the same day. 

How to go to Taichung?

- Alight at Taipei Main Station and take HSR (High-Speed Rail) to Taichung. It cost about NT$675 one way. We bought the return ticket as well. About 5 stop, 1 hr ride. 











After we reach Taichung, we head to take bus to Xitou Monster Village.


How to go Xitou Monster Village? (Okay this is a pretty far direction HAHA)

Alight at Taichung HSR, then head to the bus station exit 5-6 and took the escalator down. Head to exit 5 (Bus to Longjing, Changhua, Namtou) or look for a counter that is heading to Xitou. You can purchase the ticket there but rmb to keep the ticket properly as you need to return them when you alight at Xitou. It cost about NT$316 for two tickets. Alight at the last stop if I'm not wrong. Check with the driver again in case.









Took about 1hr 15 min to reach there. Basically, it's like a small village in Japanese style. A lot of china tourists. Nothing much to see but you can take some nice photo there. 






After that we head back to the "bus stop" , at first I was not too sure how to get back to Taichung HSR. So I just ask people who are waiting for the bus. The people there keep saying "If you don't have ticket, you gonna queue at 候補 Hou Pu/Bu". I'm not too sure what ticket are they referring to. Haha omg! And got a time slot for the bus. If you miss this bus, you gonna wait frigging long. (Didn't take a taxi because only two people not worth to take and it seem there is not taxi around there.)
The waiting took more than 30 min. You can use their ezlink (Easycard/Yoyo Card) to tap. (Return to top up your card beforehand in case).



I'm not sure why but I feel that the journey back to Taichung HSR is longer. 

We decided to take Grab to Rainbow Village after we reach Taichung HSR because it's getting dark.

Rainbow Village was worth the trip. It might seem normal to some of them. 





Next, we grab to Love Peace Cafe which my friend tagged me in the facebook before we go to Taiwan. 
Did some research. It's quite near Feng Jia Night Market. Walkable distance. 

  We went Feng Jia Night Market and walk awhile (of course eat abit as well) and took Taichung HSR back to Taipei.



Back to ximending for another round of dinner/supper. Haha!
